1Chi tratta i tuoi dati
- Allenamenti aperti pubblicati e adesioni.
Posizione GPS: solo «Mappa campo», «Segnala problema» e ricerca su Google Maps
Copertura attuale: VCO1, VCO2 e VCO3. Puoi rimuovere i pacchetti senza cancellare i percorsi.
Serve solo a correggere i difetti.
3Perché usiamo i tuoi dati
| Finalità | Base giuridica |
|---|---|
6.1.b GDPR) |
| Far funzionare le sezioni sociali: compagnie, allenamenti aperti, chat, Marketplace | Esecuzione del servizio (art. 6.1.b GDPR) |
| Inviare notifiche push su messaggi, allenamenti e segnalazioni | Il tuo consenso, che puoi revocare in qualsiasi momento dalle impostazioni del dispositivo (art. 6.1.a GDPR) |
5A chi comunichiamo i dati
8Età minima
11Sicurezza
L'accesso avviene tramite connessione cifrata.
Privacy policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
This is a courtesy translation. ArcTrail 3D is run from Italy and the Italian text is the binding one: if the two versions differ, the Italian wording prevails.
ArcTrail 3D is an app for scoring 3D archery. We collect only the data needed to make it work: your account, your rounds and the content you publish. We do not sell your data, we show no advertising and we use no advertising trackers.
1Who processes your data
The data controller is Alessandro Zanetta, author and operator of ArcTrail 3D, based in Italy.
For any question about this policy or about your data: info@arctrail3d.com
2What data we collect
Data you give us when you register
- Email address and password. The password is handled and encrypted by the authentication service: the controller cannot see it.
- First and last name, which are required, and a username. From your profile you can choose to hide your first and last name from other users: other archers then see only your username, while your name stays recorded and visible to you and to the controller alone. Competitions are the exception: if you enter one, your first and last name are passed to the organiser, because official rankings are drawn up with them.
- Archery club, country, federation, membership number and bow class.
Content you create by using the app
- Scores, rounds, statistics and diary notes.
- Open training sessions you publish, and sign-ups to them.
- Reports on the condition of courses.
- Marketplace listings, with their photos, reviews and ratings.
- Messages sent in private chats, in training chats and in Marketplace conversations.
GPS position: only "Field map", "Report a problem" and Google Maps search
The app reads your phone's position only when you use one of these features, in a browser only while the app is on screen; on Android also in the background after you explicitly start recording and only if you have given permission to the browser or the operating system. You can refuse or withdraw it whenever you like: the rest of the app keeps working. The scoring page does not start GPS. Android recording you explicitly started separately can continue while scoring.
- Field reports ("Report a problem"): when you send a report we store the position of the spot (latitude, longitude and estimated accuracy), the club and the course, the target number if given, the category, the note, date and time and your user id. You can attach a photo, which is resized and re-encoded on the phone before it is sent. The club's contact person receives a notification with your name, the category, the target number and the start of the note.
- Course recording ("Field map"): any active user with a verified email can record a course by walking it. Drafts remain personal until submitted to the club manager; they appear on shared maps only after approval. While recording we store the track points (latitude, longitude, accuracy, date and time), the club and the user id of whoever recorded it. The track is used to draw the course on the field map and can be downloaded as a GPX or GeoJSON file.
- Google Maps search: if you tap the button that searches for courses on Google Maps, your position is passed to Google Maps to centre the search and ArcTrail 3D does not store it.
While there is no connection, reports (photo included), the track being recorded and the field map stay in your device's local storage and are sent as soon as the connection is back. In a browser, GPS stops when you leave the field map or report form. Android route recording can continue in the background, with an ongoing notification to stop it. On a device shared by several people, anything not yet sent stays tied to your account: someone signing in with another account does not see it, and it is sent when you sign in again. When you sign out, the local copy of the field map is deleted.
Geographic background and sharing
Online aerial imagery is served by Regione Piemonte geoservices, which receive your IP and image requests for the displayed area, not your ArcTrail account or route name. Aerial images require Internet and are neither downloaded for offline use nor included in exported images. Offline OpenStreetMap/Protomaps packages are downloaded only on request into separate ArcTrail storage. Current coverage: VCO1, VCO2 and VCO3. Removing downloaded maps does not delete routes. Exporting GPX, GeoJSON or an image voluntarily shares the represented track and stations with the recipient.
Technical data
- The device token needed to deliver push notifications, if you have allowed them.
- The app's error log: when something goes wrong we store the error message, the point in the program where it happened, the open screen, the app version, the language, the network state, the browser and device type, and your user id. It is used only to fix faults.
- Date and time of access and IP address, processed by our technical providers for security and abuse prevention.
- Data saved in your device's local storage, which lets the app work without a connection. It stays on the device and is removed by clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app.
Outside the features described above we do not collect your GPS position. We do not access your phone's contacts.
3Why we use your data
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Creating and running your account, saving your rounds and syncing them across your devices | Performance of the service you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) |
| Running the social sections: clubs, open training sessions, chats, Marketplace | Performance of the service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) |
| Sending push notifications about messages, training sessions and reports | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time from your device settings (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) |
| Checking requests to manage a club and approving new users | Performance of the service and legitimate interest in preventing fake accounts (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR) |
| Logging technical errors in the app so they can be found and fixed | Legitimate interest in the service working properly (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) |
| Handling abuse reports and protecting the app from misuse | Legitimate interest in the security of the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) |
4What other users can see
In the archer list and in the social sections of the app, other registered users can see: your username, your first and last name (unless you have chosen to hide them, as explained in section 2) and your club. They can also see the listings you publish with their photos, the open training sessions you publish and the reviews you leave.
Field reports (position, target number, category, note, photo and status) are visible to all registered users, together with your user id but not your name. Only the club's contact person, authorised maintainers and the controller can change their status or delete them. Recorded courses are visible to all registered users once the contact person publishes them; before submission only the author and the platform administrator can see drafts; after submission authorised club managers can review them.
Private chat messages are visible only to you and to the person you wrote to. Your scores and diary notes are personal and are not shown to other users.
Your email address is never shown to other users and never appears in your public profile. It reaches another user only if you write it in a message yourself.
5Who we share data with
We do not sell your data and we do not pass it to third parties for commercial purposes. It is processed on our behalf only by the technical providers that make the service possible:
- Google Firebase (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC): authentication, database, photo storage and push notification delivery. The data is hosted on servers in the European Union.
- GitHub (GitHub Inc., Microsoft group): delivery of the app's pages.
- Aruba S.p.A.: domain registration and mailbox.
Any transfer of data outside the European Economic Area takes place on the basis of the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and of the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Data may also be disclosed to judicial authorities where the law requires it.
6How long we keep it
- Account data and the content you have created stay for as long as your account exists.
- When you delete your account, the data is erased within 30 days.
- Field reports, with their photos, and recorded courses concern the club's field: they remain, even once resolved, until the club's contact person or the controller deletes them, and deleting your account does not remove them by itself. If you want them deleted, write to info@arctrail3d.com.
- Rounds you delete one by one are removed from the cloud and from your devices straight away. A minimal technical reference remains, with no scores, whose only job is to stop a deleted round reappearing from another device.
- Error logs are emptied periodically and are in any case deleted together with the account.
- Messages you have sent to another user remain in that person's copy, as happens in any messaging service.
7Push notifications
Notifications are sent only if you have given permission to the browser or the operating system. You can withdraw it whenever you like from your device settings: the app keeps working and messages stay readable in the in-app notification centre.
8Minimum age
You must be at least 16 to register with ArcTrail 3D. Younger archers can use the app through the account of a parent or guardian, who remains responsible for the content published.
9Your rights
At any time you can ask for access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing, portability in a readable format, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Many of these things you can do yourself from within the app: editing your profile, hiding your first and last name, deleting rounds, listings and messages, or deleting your account.
To exercise the other rights write to info@arctrail3d.com: we reply within 30 days.
If you believe your data is being handled improperly you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (garanteprivacy.it) or, if you live in another country of the European Economic Area, with the supervisory authority of your own country.
10Deleting your account
You can delete your account and all the data linked to it directly from the app, or by sending a request from the dedicated page.
11Security
Access takes place over an encrypted connection. Data is protected by access rules that limit every user to their own content and to what is meant for them. No system is a hundred per cent secure: if you spot a security problem, report it to info@arctrail3d.com.
12Changes to this policy
If we change the way we handle data we will update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell you inside the app.
